The Vicki Wenger, FASID Media Award
Recognizes exceptional support from the media toward the advancement of the interior design profession and toward the efforts of the Washington Metro chapter of ASID. Eligible nominees include all members of the media–radio, television, newspaper and magazine–based in the Washington metropolitan area.

Honors an individual who has made significant contributions toward improving the quality of the human environment through interior design activities. All Washington Metro chapter ASID practitioners and Industry Partners representatives in good standing are eligible. Consideration is made for contributions oriented to the human environment in areas such as health, accessibility, sustainability, safety, fire prevention, communication, or transportation. These contributions benefit the Washington metropolitan community at large, are nonpartisan, and are judged on their own merits.

The Sarah Boyer Jenkins, FASID APEX Award
The APEX award honors a chapter member for a lifetime of outstanding and significant contributions to the chapter, the Society and the profession of interior design. Eligible nominees are professional or allied members of the Washington Metro Chapter who have been ASID members for at least 25 years. Candidates can be currently employed within the interior design profession or retired. Consideration is given to the individual's service to the chapter and the profession. These contributions may be a combination of, but not limited to, serving as a chapter officer and/or on a chapter board, chairing numerous committees, a genuine commitment to advancing the goals of the strategic plan of the chapter or significantly contributing to chapter projects such as community service, trade shows, showhouses, etc. Other honors and awards received by the candidate are also considered.
